King County Department of Assessments
IT Project Manager
Seattle WA
I received a Bachelor of Science degree from Western Washington University and a Master’s of Science Degree from the University of British Columbia.

I worked as an Independent Fee Appraiser in the mid-1980’s, and then in 1988 was hired by King County Department of Assessments (KCDOA).

With King County Department of Assessments, I worked as an Appraiser and Lead Appraiser valuing residential properties, an Assessments Analyst developing residential valuation models, and a Senior Appraiser leading the team that values all of the condominiums and floating homes in King County.

I then moved to the IT Department, first as an Applications Developer, and am currently the IT Project Manager for King County Department of Assessments.

I developed the statistical update method that received the IAAO Distinguished Research and Development Award in 2002, and also co-developed 2 different state-accredited, in-house courses; one on Ratio Studies and one on Regression Model Development.

I also co-developed the integrated GIS system that helped the Department receive the 2011 IAAO Distinguished Jurisdiction Award.

In 2012, I helped co-develop iRealProperty, a mobile app for data collection in the field.

Most recently, I worked with an in-house team and Spatialest to develop the LocalScape website, which we are presenting at this conference.
