Mr. Fabian M. Montoya, Residential Manager at the Bernalillo County Assessor’s Office, is responsible for fairly and equitably assessing approximately 250,000 parcels. On average 10,000 parcels change ownership, 5,500 building permits are issued, and 4,000 property owners protest per year. Mr. Montoya is directly responsible for calibrating internal market based cost tables within our CAMA system and completing an annual Sales Ratio Study

Prior, Mr. Montoya was the Chief Appraiser at the San Miguel County Assessor’s Office in Las Vegas, NM. He became a New Mexico State Certified Appraiser in 2010 and was designated as a Certified Public Official through New Mexico Association of Counties EDGE program in 2011.
